Rumored Nokia Android Smartphones Have Flagship Level Specs

It was in May that a story broke that Nokia is going to make a comeback and with Android OS running their phones instead of the Windows platform. Well, it seems that rumors have been flying around, complete with fan-made renders, as to what these phones could possibly be and what they could possibly have under the hood.

The names Nokia C1 and P1 have been seen on one the sources we’ve found. These devices are said to have a 5.2-inch and 5.5-inch display at 2k resolution. The wording on these leaks also suggest that they will have a full metal build. Under the hood, the C1 and P1 aren’t slouches either and may rival current flagship phones’ specs and features, as they could be running SnapDragon 820 SoCs and could have an IP68 certification for protection against dust and in case the worst happens if you’re the type to bring your device to the bathroom. A fingerprint scanner may also be included in the mix, and as far as the cameras go — it could have a main shooter that has 22-megapixels. The bigger of the two devices, which ever of the two it would be, may see its price tag at somewhere around $500 or roughly Php 23,500 and could be launched toward the end of the year.

If you notice, we did use a lot of would, could, and may be’s in this article as all the specs our sources have found could all be taking us for a loop; our sources do say that these are rumors. It wouldn’t be such a far cry if Nokia was planning to make a lot of noise for their much awaited comeback though. Only time will tell.

For now, we’ll keep our ears on the ground for more rumblings from the brand that brought us the Spartan of a phone in the Nokia 5110 in days long past.
