Samsung Philippines officially announces the prices for their new wearables
Interested in picking up Samsung’s newest wearables? Well, today Samsung has officially revealed the prices for their three new Tizen-powered wearables. Prospective owners can expect to shell out Php 8990 for the Gear 2 Neo and the Gear Fit. You’ll have to dole out a little more cash for the Gear 2, as it comes with a slightly higher price tag of Php 13490. Apparently that 2-megapixel camera on the Gear 2 commands a couple of thousands more than its camera-less brother.
You can expect the three smartwatches to hit stores everywhere on April 11, though you will have to be quick – Samsung says that their first shipment will be limited in number (like 200 pieces limited) and it will be a while before they replenish their stocks. That may not be a problem for some, as Samsung has said that only Samsung smartphones (and selecct models at that)) will be able to use the smartwatches. Compatibility with other Android devices will come soon, though the company did not specify exactly when.
