The Samsung Gear Sport and Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro have nearly identical hardware, which can help you track your workouts and help you get to your fitness goals. Those who are familiar with fitness trackers will know that it can act as a Pedometer to see if you’re within the doctor recommended 10,000 steps per day, but it can also track your heart rate, help you keep your pace if you want to achieve better times at long distance running, count how many calories you’ve burned (or help you keep track of the calories you’ve consumed), and track your sleep to let you know if you’re getting the right amount of rest and the quality of rest you’re getting.

New to the Samsung’s fitness trackers this year is the availability to track your swims as well and you don’t even have to worry if you’re taking into salt water as well; just as long as you give it a rinse after and don’t dive with the devices. You can go up to a depth of 5 meters thanks to its 5 ATM water resistance and it can take quite a beating with its military grade build quality as well.

Last year, Samsung also introduced their wireless earbuds that also act as a bit of coach as you go for your runs. The Gear Icon X is back this year as well and this time, Samsung has fixed the Achilles heel of the wireless earbuds — it’s battery life. The predecessor to this year’s Icon X barely lasted an hour on a single charge, but this year’s model can provide you with tunes on longer runs with the promise of having up to 7 hours of battery life if you aren’t streaming beats through your phone or up to 5 hours if you have it tethered to your device.

The Samsung Gear Sport has been priced at Php 14,990 and the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro has been give a price tag of Php 8,990. While the Samsung Gear Icon X is priced at Php 8,490. They are all available via Samsung Experience Stores or, if you don’t want to face the holiday traffic, you can purchase them via their partner retailers — Lazada and Abesons.com.
