Samsung Officially Launches the Galaxy J7 Pro In the Philippines

Samsung’s Mid-Ranged Contender

While Samsung may be soaking in the success of their recent flagship devices, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, they’re not about to forget about the mid-ranged segment. Striking while the iron is hot, the Korean company officially launched the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro today (July 4). Armed with the company’s home-brewed Exynos 7870 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of expandable storage, the phone is poised to take on all comers in its price bracket.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro Specifications

  • 1.6GHz Exynos 7870 octa-core processor
  • 3GB of RAM
  • Mali-T830 GPU
  • 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display; 1920×1080 resolution
  • 32GB of expandable storage (up to 256GB)
  • 13-megapixel rear camera, f/1.7 aperture, autofocus, LED flash
  • 13-megapixel front camera, f/1.9 aperture, LED flash
  • 4G, LTE
  • Dual SIM
  • WiFi, Bluetooth
  • GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS

Samsung touts the J7 Pro’s 13-megapixel cameras that have an aperture size of f/1.7 for its rear and f/1.9 for its selfie camera; making it great for low light photography and giving it a shallow depth of field without the need for software assisted bokeh effects.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro is priced at Php 15,990 and comes in three color variants: Black, Gold, and Silver Blue. You can already pre-order the device via Lazada until July 9. The pre-order bundle comes with a Samsung Scoop Bluetooth speaker.

We’ll be taking the device for a spin very soon, so stay tuned!
