Samsung has officially released their refreshed and stylish Gear S3 smartwatches to the Philippine market. The new smartwatches sport a new, more traditional watch aesthetic with improved internals and more features.
The Gear S3 comes in two versions: the Classic and the Frontier. To recap, the Frontier is the more rugged of the two watches sporting the innovative rotating bezel design of the previous iteration with hour and minute marks and a rubberized strap. The Classic on the other hand, is a more traditional looking of the two, and has a body made from 316L stainless steel and has a leather strap.
Both of the watches are bigger than the previous iteration, and are skewed towards guys because of their size. The Gear S3 Frontier and Classic have speakers built-in so you can listen to your tunes if you ever feel like it, and have IP68 protection against the elements. Battery life hase been improved as well, and the watches have a 380mAh battery that lasts 3-4 days.
Both smartwatches are priced at Php 16,490, and will come with three straps when people pre-order.
