Showing some love for the defunct J series
While Samsung may have killed off the Galaxy J line, the Korean brand stays true to its promise of rolling out Android Pie to a few models.
Recently, both the Galaxy J6 and J8 are reportedly receiving Android Pie, staying in lone with Samsung’s rollout schedule.
The update includes Android Pie and Samsung’s OneUI. The Galaxy J6 gets the March 2019 security patch, while the Galaxy J8 gets an April 2019 security patch. Both updates weigh in at around 1.2GB.
As of this writing, the update is being rolled out in Europe, so expect a wider release in the coming days.
