That 1TB SSD isn’t cutting out for you? Have inordinate amounts of cash that’s burning a hole in your pocket? Then you might want to take a look at Seagate’s new creation. Their newest SSD drive has a whopping 60 TB of storage, higher than the capacities of other hard disk drives. It’s being touted as the highest capacity SSD ever made.
Unfortunately (or fortunately) the new drive is meant for business applications, and is currently a prototype, with the working version dropping sometime in 2017. Seagate is positioning the drive as tool for flexible growth in data centers, as it uses the same 3.5-inch HDD form factor that’s common in enterprise applications. No price for it yet, but because of its projected capacity and incredible access speeds, you’ll probably won’t be able to afford it.
