Someone Made An Apple Watch Run Windows 95

Apple Watch
Impractical as heck though

Talk about impressive – a developer has managed to find a way to make Windows 95 run on an Apple Watch. That someone is developer Nick Lee, who posted a video about his unique and puzzling feat on YouTube.

Despite the Apple Watch being leagues ahead of the system requirements of Windows 95, the OS runs pretty slow on the watch all things considered. Still, the hack is pretty impressive, since Apple has a tendency to lock down the hardware that they offer to the public specifically to prevent people like Nick from tinkering with them.

Nick had to overcome big technical hurdles, which involed modifying Apple’s development software in unorthodx ways. The result? Windows 95 on the Apple Watch’s tiny, tiny display, though the OS is pretty slow compared to its original iteration.
