Compact superzoom cameras that pack a punch

After it was unveiled a few months ago, Sony is bringing the HX99 to our shores, together with the WX800. Both compact cameras boast of an insane ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T 24-720mm lenses with a built-in image stabilization, paired with an 18.2-megapixel Exmor R sensor. The range is equivalent to a 30x optical zoom—which is out of this world for compact cameras.

Both cameras are capable of shooting 4K video at 30FPS, have a 10FPS shooting speed, and a 3-inch tilting touchscreen LCD. The HX99 gets additional features that include a pop-up OLED viewfinder, RAW shooting, and a control ring.

The HX99 and WX800 are priced at PHP 28,999 and PHP 24,999 respectively, and are available in all Sony Centers and authorized dealers nationwide.
