Sony WH-1000XM2: Follow-up to the Best Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones

Sony just updated their kickass MDR-1000X headphones

Sony Makes the Best Even Better

The Sony MDR-1000X is our top pick for the best noise cancelling wireless headphones. That’s why we were stoked to find out that Sony is updated it during IFA at Berlin, Germany. They just announced the successor of the MDR-1000X, the Sony WH-1000XM2. What’s so special about it? First they carried over the key features of the MDR-1000X: touch controls, ambient sound, noise-cancelling technology, and kick ass audio quality. On top of that though they increase battery life to 30 hours (from 20), a Quick Charge mode (1 hour battery for 10-min charge), and most importantly a more affordable price tag at $350.

We’re kinda super fans of Sony when it comes to their audio gear so take our statement that they have the best wireless noise-cancelling cans with a grain of salt. It’s not unfounded though as we’ve tried a lot of cans and we’ve found our favorite with the MDR-1000X.

We will DEFINITELY make it a point to get one of these when it becomes available locally, hopefully before the holidays.
