That 21:9 aspect ratio doe
Sony’s continued defiance of the notch trend meant that that Japanese brand had to opt for unusual designs. In the case of the Xperia XA3 and XZ4, this includes going for extra tall displays with an unusual 21:9 aspect ratio. How does it look in real life? A leaked hands-on video previews the XA3 in the flesh.
From the video itself, the Xperia XA3 is slim and long compared to other phones. Because not all apps support a 21:9 aspect ratio, the Xperia XA3 masks them off with black bars.
While you have a slightly large top bezel, the Xperia XA3’s barely there bottom chin will surely be the talk of the town, as it is as slim as the side bezels.
Other angles of the phone show that the Xperia XA3 will have a headphone jack and a dual rear camera setup.
Rumored specs include a Snapdragon 660 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, 3500mAh battery, and a 23-megapixel + 8-megapixel rear camera setup. The Xperia XA3 is expected to launch alongside the Xperia XZ4 on MWC 2019 so stay tuned.
