This Plastic VR Headset Makes It Easy To Enjoy Affordable VR

It’s like Google Cardboard but…in plastic

Google’s Cardboard is one of the best things that has ever come out of the company’s R&D department, allowing people to experience VR for cheap. While the original cardboard VR headset was pretty awesome on its own, there are some things we don’t like about it – you have to use your hands to keep it on your head, and using it for an extended period of time is pretty uncomfortable, to say the least.

That’s why we were stoked to see this cool plastic headset made especially for Google Cardboard listed in, a local geek store. This plastic VR headset is an improvement over the original cardboard one – it has a sturdy plastic build, soft foam around the eye area for extended use, adjustable pupil and sight distance and can be used by Android and iOS devices with screen sizes from 3.5-inches to 6-inches.

Priced at Php 1,120, the VR headset isn’t as cheap as the original cardboard one was, but at least it’ll be sturdy and comfortable during use. You’ll finally be able to watch videos like the one linked above the way the creators originally intended.

You can check out the original listing here.

  1. You can get one of these from one of the many Chinese online stores for just 200 pesos. Albeit with a 30- to 60-day delivery time.

I just saw one being sold at for only 799 pesos.

  2. I’m a fan of VR and this is one of the ugly Vr’s on my list. Of course the best is Samsung VR but for the typical customer one of the best is the Google VR bought mine at but if you can also buy in It may be cheaper but just be wary of Tax.
