After a long wait
While we are waiting if Vivo will be updating some of its smartphones to Android Oreo, there’s a bit of good news for owners of the Marshmallow-equipped V5, V5 Plus, and V5s: These phones are now ready to be updated to Android Nougat, as announced on Vivo’s Facebook page.
The update may not be OTA (users need to visit any Vivo service center for the update) nor Android Oreo as many would hope, but this is a welcome development for Vivo.

Right now, the Y69 and V7+ come with Android Nougat on board, but we have to wait on when Vivo will be updating those handsets (and the V5, V5 Plus, and V5S) to Android Oreo, so stay tuned.
