Making do with all the teasers so far
With just a few days away before Xiaomi unveils the Mi MIX 2S, we are given a couple of teasers revealing some of the confirmed specs. Let’s do a quick analysis of what these teasers mean:
Same Mi MIX 2 Design
Xiaomi’s first teaser video for the Mi MIX 2S appeared in collaboration with Pacific Rim. Towards the end of the said video above, the Mi MIX 2S was revealed, and it looks almost the same with the Mi MIX 2, with its slim bottom chin possibly housing the front camera.

The second teaser is pretty clever, but the appearance of a padlock symbol towards the end does tell us that the Mi MIX 2S will come with face unlock. Our question here is how will it work properly, given the possibility that the front camera will be at the bottom part of the phone, as we mentioned earlier.

Now boasting two 12-megapixel rear cameras with a Sony IMX 363 sensor, the Mi MIX 2S cameras will get an upgrade, and one of these will include an AI-powered scene detection that will help users get the best photos possible.
8GB RAM and 256GB Internal Storage
While we’re certain that there will be several configuration options for the Mi MIX 2s, the top specced variant will come with 256GB internal storage and 8GB RAM, based on these packaging stickers. Previously, only the Ceramic edition of the Mi MIX 2 sports 8GB of RAM. Together with a Snapdragon 845 processor, the Mi MIX 2S will be a beast, especially with the benchmark score teaser revealed last month.
