One of the frustrating moves Apple did with the iPhone 12 series (and all current iPhones moving forward) is removing the wall charger out of the packaging as their means of saving the environment. This did not sit well with a lot of people, as all iPhones sold moving forward will come with a Lightning to USB-C cable, which basically means that they will be forced to buy an actual USB-C charger—most chargers that people have come with a USB-A port.
Apple’s own 20w USB-C charger is not cheap: it will cost you Php 1,190, and there are better options out there, like Xiaomi’s own 20w USB-C charger. Made together with ecological chain company ZMI, Xiaomi’s own USB-C charger looks very similar to Apple’s offering and only costs a fraction at CNY 39 (~Php 290). You read that right: you are basically getting the same charger AND save around Php 900 in the process.
Xiaomi’s 20w USB-C charger will be available starting November 3, and it will be just a matter of time before you can buy one at their stores or through their official online channels.
