Triple rear camera setup in tow?
Xiaomi has a couple more surprises in tow: following the confirmation of a Snapdragon 855-powered Redmi flagship, the Chinese tech giant is working on the Mi 9. Recently, a Xiaomi executive was spotted using what appears to be a Mi 9 prototype.
The said prototype comes with the same curved glass back found on the Mi 8, but uses a triple rear camera setup instead.
Rumored specs include a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 main rear camera accompanied by a 12-megapixel secondary camera and ToF camera, a 24-megapixel Sony IMX576 front camera, a 3500mAh battery with quick charging, Snapdragon 855 processor, and 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants.
One of the Mi 9’s reported key specs is its larger area for the in-display fingerprint scanner, which is said to be 5 times bigger than current in-display fingerprint scanners.
