The Redmi Note 7 will be getting it next year
Xiaomi announced an initial list of phones receiving Android Q at its MIUI forums. Here’s the initial rollout schedule:
4th Quarter 2019
- Xiaomi Mi 9
- Redmi K20 Pro
- Xiaomi Mi 8
- Xiaomi Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition
- Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition
- Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S
- Xiaomi Mi Mix 3
- Redmi K20
- Xiaomi Mi 9 SE
First Quarter 2020
- Redmi Note 7
- Redmi Note 7 Pro
Key features of Android Q include a system-wide dark mode, updated privacy permissions, Live Captions, and a dedicated emergency button at the power menu.
Do note that the release timeline is for the MIUI China ROM, so expect the update to arrive for Global ROMs at a later date. This is just an initial list, so expect Xiaomi to add more phones in the future.
