ZTE’s New Wearable is a Contender

You may know ZTE for their networking solutions and their smartphones, but they’ve made wearables as well; though we rarely hear anything about their Axon smart watch. This is something they aim to change with yesterday’s release, the ZTE Quartz.

The Quartz sports a 1.4-inch AMOLED Display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100, 768MB of RAM, and 4GB of storage running the show; all of which runs on Android Wear 2.0 with a 500mAh battery to provide the juice.

The ZTE Quartz has almost all the standard fare with most wearables, but are missing features like: NFC and a heart rate monitor; a move made to keep the costs on the ZTE Quartz down. It does support cellular connectivity, however, which means you can use it to take calls or ask Google Assistant to give you a helping hand.

The ZTE Quartz has been priced at $200 or Php 9,917; though you can expect it to be priced a little higher if it does reach our shores. For now, the ZTE Quartz can be purchased online or through T-Mobile in the US.
