Six Awesome Xiaomi Items you can purchase in SmartFuture

Six Awesome Xiaomi Items you can purchase in SmartFuture

The closest we can get to buying Xiaomi products locally

While we have to wait for Xiaomi products to be officially sold in the Philippines, SmartFuture, a store in Circuit Lane, Makati, has just opened last weekend and is selling some of Xiaomi’s Mi Home products. While they are not yet an official retailer of Xiaomi products, the staff inside SmartFuture told me that they are working on the paperwork so that they will be able to sell Xiaomi phones in the future.

I visited the store recently, and while there are no sighting of any Xiaomi phones inside, SmartFuture was filled with products that will attract geeks and design lovers like me. After my quick visit, here are six products that caught my attention:

Mi Desk Lamp (~Php 1,942)

This award-winning lamp (it won the Germany iF Design Gold award this year) has caught my attention for its minimalist look, with an exposed orange wire acting as an accent color to the dominantly-white lamp. What makes this lamp cool? You can adjust the strength of the LED lamp, and you can change the LED color–from warm to cool! Being a smart home product, the Mi Desk Lamp can be controlled thru your smartphone using the MiHome app.

Mi 4K Drone (~Php 30,143)

DJI’s drones face tough competition with the Mi Drone: It has the same features found in DJI’s Phantom for almost half the price!

Mi Notebook Air 13.3 (~Php 57,308)

SmartFuture also has in store the 13.3inch version of the Mi Notebook Air. Unlike its 12-inch brother (which we reviewed last year), the 13-3-inch version has a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics card, along with 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD, and a 6th Generation Intel i5 processor, making it a viable competitor against Apple’s Non-Touch Bar Macbook Pro.

Zhimi Smart DC Inverter Fan (~Php 8,420)

You might be asking me why this fan is awesome in spite of its exorbitant price, so let me explain a bit: This fan uses a brushless DC motor, making it more power efficient compared to regular fans. It can be used as a cordless fan, with its battery providing up to 6 hours of power. Just like that awesome Mi Desk Lamp, you can control it with your phone using the MiHome app.

Mi TV 3S 48 (~Php 32,224)

This LED Smart TV uses a Full HD LG screen, and has sleek silver bezels–all for a bargain price!

Mi Ninebot self-balancing scooter (~Php 23971)

This cool scooter can give you bawse feels when you roam around with it. It’s capable of speeds up to 16Km/h, and has a battery pack that’s good for up to 22Km. It’s more compact than a Segway, so you can stow this in the trunk of your car. Being a smart device, you can even control the Mi Ninebot using the MiHome App. Awesome, don’t you think?

While SmartFuture is currently on soft opening, they will be opening another branch in Vertis North, Quezon City between October to November this year.
