Wow… just wow

The Pope made Philippines Twitter history during his visit to our country last January. While he was here there were over 3.3 million tweets about the Papal Visit. Thats’s roughly 3,644 tweets per second.

AlDub, an insanely popular segment in Eat Bulaga starring Alden Richards and Maine “Yaya” Mendoza, just broke that record. Last weekend the show generated close to 6M tweets with the hashtag #ALDDUBBATTLEForACAUSE. The tweets went through the roof because the popular love team finally got to see each other in the segment. They never actually touched though as Lola Nidora dropped a wall made of plywood (lol) in between them from the ceiling. Huwow.

Anyway, congratulations to TAPE Inc., Eat Bulaga, and GMA for the incredible feat. 6M tweets is not easy to do in any part of the world.
