Sad news indeed
If you grew up in the late 90’s and early 2000, you probably have encountered Ragnarok Online in one form or another. In a time where most of us were still using dial-up connections and ISP Bonanza internet cards, Ragnarok Online was the first ever MMORPG we ever played. While many of us have graduated to even more involved (and addicting) MMORPGs, RO still has a special place in many of pinoy gamer’s hearts.
That’s why we were saddened to hear Level Up!’s latest announcement that they will shutting down and concluding the local PH service come March 31, 2015.
All isn’t lost though – local players who still play RO can migrate their accounts to the international servers – Level Up! will be posting the migration URL on their website as soon as it comes later in April.
This is a sad day for local gaming, especially for people who cut their teeth on MMORPGS with RO. Alas, all good things must come to an end. Thanks RO and Level-Up! for all the great memories.
