Appeal to Banks: Beef Up Your Online and Mobile Banking Capacity During Holidays

Hopefully It Will Be Better in 2017

It’s the same every year. When December rolls in, the mobile and online apps of almost all local banks start to fail miserably. Logging in is incredibly hard and even if you do, it slows down to a crawl. In the event you do a transaction, there’s a chance it even fails. The culprit? Most likely the servers that handle the capacity of people using the apps just can’t handle it. This is what happened in 2015, it happened again this year, and unless banks plan properly for next year, it’s going to happen again in 2017.

Our appeal to local banks is simple: please beef up capacity for your apps during heavy transaction months. You already have all the data you need to be able to do proper resource planning so that you have enough capacity come December (or other months/days that are heavy). It can get incredibly frustrating when the app doesn’t work and it can lead to delayed payments and heck even salaries.
