Diablo 3 Finally Gets the Necromancer Class Years After Launch

4 years after the launch of Diablo 3, Blizzard finally introduced the most popular class from Diablo 2, the Necromancer. They announced the update during their on-going Blizzcon event with a cinematic trailer which you can watch in full above. The new (or returning) class will be including in the upcoming patch Diablo III: Rise of the Necromancer which is scheduled for release next year.

From a lore perspective, Blizzard said that the Necromancers kept themselves in the jungles of Kehjistan training so that they could keep the balance between the forces of life and death. As with the previous iteration of the class, Necromancers draw magic from death and they can command armies of Undead. They also retained the “Corpse Explosion” skill which everyone loved in the past.

So will this get you guys back to playing Diablo III? We’re considering it if just to relive some memories from the past, hehe. 🙂
