Game of Thrones Actor Joins GMA’s Encantadia

Conan Stevens, best known for playing Ser Gregor Clegane aka The Mountain in HBO’s Game of Thrones, is all set to join the cast of local TV show — Encantadia; as confirmed by Nelson Canlas on 24 Oras. Though details of Stevens’ character on Encantadia are still being kept under wraps, the former Game of Thrones actor offered a few insights as to what we can expect by saying that he usually gets typecast into roles due to his physique.

Most of you are probably saying: “Doesn’t strong man Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson play The Mountain?” Yes, he does. But the huge, hulk of a man that you saw fight “The Viper” Oberyn Martell, didn’t take over the role until Season 4 of the series. Conan Stevens was the “original” — if we can call it that — Gregor Clegane in the first season of Game of Thrones, where The Mountain was one of the combatants during a tournament held in Ned Stark’s honor for being appointed Hand of the King.

We know this isn’t related to the usual slew of smartphones and gadgets on the site, but allow us to geek out a little bit.

Just an opinion.

    1. Anong masama sa pagiging, in your words, “trying hard”?

      1. Do you even have any idea how much sfx costs? They did what they could for a daily tv series. It’s free tv not the likes of GOT which is funded by cable companies. Just my two cents.
