McDonalds Strengthens Partnership with PayMaya for its NXTGEN Stores

McDo’s self-order kiosks will have support for PayMaya QR

While McDonalds is in the process of deploying its NXTGEN stores around the country, the fastfood chain strengthened its partnership with PayMaya by incorporating the FinTech app’s QR feature to McDonald’s self-service kiosks.

The new payment experience is deployed first at McDonald’s newly-reopened branch at 32nd Street in Bonifacio Global City. BSP Governor Benjamin Diokno and PayMaya founder and CEO Orlando Vea personally tried the updated self-service kiosks to showcase the ease of paying your orders using PayMaya QR.

Payments via PayMaya QR is initially available at select stores in Bonifacio Global City, and McDonalds is expected to roll out the feature in more branches by next month. Aside from PayMaya QR, the updated self-service kiosks will accept Visa, Mastercard, and JCB credit, debit, and prepaid card payments as well.

“Our expanded partnership with (McDonalds) brings the payment experience of customers to a whole new level,” Vea said.
