Paydro Live Is A Gameshow In Your Phone Where You Win Real Money

It’s fast becoming the new noontime habit

If you’ve been wondering why your officemates have been screaming their heads off while staring at their phones during lunch break, they may have been playing with the hottest app in town. Paydro Live is, in a nutshell, is a quiz app where people compete for real money along with thousands of other people for free, in real time.

Paydro Live is essentially a game show in your pocket. It runs exactly at 12:30 PM every day, hosted by Sam YG and playing it is deceptively simple: you just have to get 11 questions that the host presents right, and you and whoever else manages to get all of the questions right get the prize money for the day. You have 10 seconds to answer each question. The prize pot is divided among the winners for the day and can be claimed through several financial institutions.

The idea of winning real cash playing an app is an exciting one. There’s plenty of reaction videos on Snapchat and on Twitter with the hashtags #besreaction and #paydrolive that show people both losing and winning and having a great time doing it.

To say that the app is growing a massive rate is an understatement. There are currently around 25,000 to 35,000 users per game, with more each passing day. Gian Javelona CEO of Paydro Live says they’re already looking at doing games during the weekend (currently games are during the weekday only) as well as doing games for people working the night shift.

Right now the company is focused on providing quality content and prizes to the players, but Javelona and his team are already expanding overseas. Paydro has made its way to Malaysia, though his team has made sure to localize the app for Malaysian tastes.

Paydro appeals to Filipino’s love of game shows and its natural tendency to bring friends and family closer together. That’s probably the reason why many there are so many reaction videos out there that show people just having fun, despite not winning or having to share their winnings with other people.

What’s exciting about Paydro is that it’s just starting to gain traction. Javelona has a lot of things in store for the app and for its users, including bigger prizes, tournaments between companies/organizations and the like.

  1. Paydro is having “cash out issues” since the start of the year and may be holding off at least ?1,690,000 worth of “sponsored” prizes. As such, we discourage everyone from playing Paydro “for the cash prize”. We also created an open letter prompting Paydro to be transparent to their players and fix their cash out issues through #FixPaydro. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GaliuuJTl0MtXvNpmcNp_pUeQplX8bSgpdsK_nYDho4/preview

We hope you can amend your article to bring up these issues to prevent your readers from wasting their time.
