PUBG Corp Sues Epic Games for Copyright Infringement

PUBG Corp Sues Epic Games for Copyright Infringement

And the battle goes on

After filing a case against the makers of “Rules of Survival”, PUBG corporation filed a new lawsuit—this time with Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite.

According to a report by The Korean Times, PUBG cites copyright infringement as the basis for its case against Epic Games, which was filed last January. While Fortnite initially had only the “Save the World” mode, the popular game added a “Battle Royale” mode later on, which sparked plagiarism claims from PUBG. Making things quite intriguing is that both games run on Unreal Engine 4.

As of this writing, the lawsuit is limited to South Korea, but we have to wait and see how this will develop.
