Gundaaaaam!

One of the tourist attractions in Tokyo was the RX-78-2 Gundam statue which stood proudly at the Diver City entertainment center in Odaiba. When we were in Japan last year we made it a point to visit to take some tourist selfies with the towering mech. Much to the disappointment of fan boys around the world, the statue was torn down. The good news is that they’ve been hard at work assembling a new Gundam statue, this time the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam. Photos and videos have been surfacing lately and it looks very promising.

The 19.7 meter statue will be officially launched and shown to the public on September 24. We’ll be flying to Japan later this year so we’ll definitely make it a point to drop by and visit!
