Super Mario Run Is Nintendo’s First Stand-alone Game For Mobile

Nintendo dropped a bombshell today during Apple’s iPhone 7 event – the the legendary Japanese company has announced their first ever mobile game, Super Mario Run. The game, announced by none other than video game design legend Shigeru Miyamoto, is exclusive to iOS and features Nintendo’s iconic star, Mario.

The game is simple, similar to hundreds of other infinite running games out in the market today. Tapping the screen makes Mario jump – the longer you hold your finger down, the higher he jumps. You can control Mario’s direction and control his movements with the rythm of your taps. Ultimately your goal is to grab as many coins as possible and reach the flagpole before time runs out…sound familiar?

Anyway, the game is slated to arrive for iOS come December.
