Php 395k worth of prizes is at stake
The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Taiwan External Trade Development Council will be hosting its first-ever eSports cup in the Philippines. Featuring tournaments for Counter Strike: Go (CS:GO) and League of Legends (LOL), the Taiwan Excellence eSports Cup wants to showcase the best of Taiwanese innovation through competitive eSports.
Around 2,000 gamers across the country are expected to participate, with Php 395,000 worth of prizes at stake.
Tournament registration starts on June 15, with elimination rounds for CSGO taking place on July 6, 13, 20, and 27, and for LOL on August 3, 10, 17, and 24. Inter-branch games will be held on September 14 for CSGO and September 24 for LOL. The grand finals will happen on October 4 for CS:Go and October 5 for LOL at The Block, SM North EDSA.
