Costing only $100
With the popularity of drones nowadays, it was just a matter of time before companies introduce an affordable-yet-reliable drone that everyone can use. That has been the case with Ryze, who teamed up with DJI to come up with the Tello. The toy-like drone is around the size of DJI’s Spark, but comes with an affordable price of $100 (~Php 5.1k).
For that price, you get a unit with an Intel processor, a 720P camera, and a 13-minute air time. It also comes with safety features such as collision detection and a Failsafe protection, with the latter allowing the Tello to land safely even if the connection gets cut off.
Given its affordable price, the Tello is aimed at people who would casually use a drone for taking a few selfies and some short-range aerial footage. Nonetheless, it is still great for both companies to come up with an affordable version of the drone.
The Tello will go on sale in March 2018.
