Blizzard had an 11-year gap in between the release of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction and Diablo III. 11 years was more than enough time for other developers and publishers to try their hand in the Action RPG genre after people lost interest in their Whirlwind Barbarians, Bonemancers, and Javazons. One of the games we distinctly remember enjoying, that kinda filled out the gigantic shoes Blizzard left for other studios, was Titan Quest published by THQ and Nordic Games.
It was a nice take on the genre and was steeped in mythology that included creatures and lore from the Greeks, Chinese, Babylonian, and Egyptians. We spent many hours playing around with builds and laughing at the hilarious physics; our hero could send his foes flying over hills and mountains with massive critical hits. We were happy to find out that Titan Quest has just beed made available on iOS and Android; making getting stuck in traffic a little more enjoyable.
Released by DotEmu and Nordic Games, the mobile version of Titan Quest has been redesigned with a touch screen in mind with gameplay and UI improvements, such as: a virtual D-pad and buttons to control your character, attack, and open up your inventory to switch out armor for sweet loot drops.
Titan Quest currently has a Special Launch Price of P365 on the Google Play Store and the App Store. If you’re big on mobile gaming, we definitely think this is worth a look.
