Pokemon Go, that smash hit from Niantec and Nintendo is currently wreaking havoc in the social lives of players who are fortunate enough to live in the initial launch countries, namely, Australia and the US. Unfortunately that doesn’t include people who are rocking Intel-powered smartphones, namely ASUS Zenfone 2s as Pokemon Go initially did not support the SoC at launch.
Well, that’s no longer the case – Niantic has come out with a new version of the app that now supports Intel chips, which means the masses of people who run Zenfone 2s will now be able to install, and run the game. This is important, since there’s persistent rumors that the app will be available within the next 48 hours in Asia (which hopefully includes the Philippines).
If you own a Zenfone 2, you can download the APK here and sideload it to your device. Obviously trying to run it is not going to get you anything because for some reason PH players can’t still play the augmented reality app, but that’s going to change soon enough. Hopefully. Pretty please, Nintendo?
