Free rides can be availed at select times from Monday to Friday excluding holidays

Great news for all students who commute: DoTR announced that it is offering free rides to them from Monday to Friday, excluding holidays, at select times.

Those taking the LRT-2 can avail of the free rides from 4:30AM to 6:00AM and 3:00PM to 4:30PM. Those taking the MRT-3 can avail from 5:00AM to 6:30AM and 3:00PM to 4:30PM.

Lastly, those taking the PNR can avail from 5:00AM to 6:00AM and 3:00PM to 4:00PM.

Students from colleges and those taking vocational and technical courses can avail of the free rides as long as they present their ID. Eventually, students will need to register to have an ID exclusive for the free rides.

Aside from the free rides, DoTR announced that it is waiving terminal fees to students at 40 CAAP-operated airports and PPA-operated seaports.

The program will have a pilot run on July 1 and will be fully implemented on July 16 for seaports and August for airports.
