Xiaomi has just announced their newest product: the Mi Electric Scooter. True to Xiaomi’s reputation, they’ve taken the humble electric scooter and built in a whole suite of features and capabilities, which includes Bluetooth connectivity so you can use your phone as a dashboard of sorts to monitor speed and the scooter’s battery level.
The Mi Electric Scooter is pretty high tech as far as scooters go. It features a double brake system, which includes an E-ABS anti-lock brakes as well as traditional, mechanical disk brakes, has a maximum speed of 25km/h (which can be downgraded to 18km/h if you want to save power), has a maximum range of 30KM on a single charge, can carry people and loads up to 100kg and can be folded up when not in use. The battery of the Mi Electric Scooter can be fully charged from 0 in just 5.5 hours.
